About BCA - Financial Support

Behavioral Centers of America (BCA), with the equity commitment from Linden LLC, Health Enterprise Partners, LP (HEP), Siguler Guff & Company, LLC and Management, continues to execute upon its growth plans to add additional facilities through both acquisition and de novo development.

Headquartered in Nashville, BCA owns and operates inpatient and outpatient facilities in Ohio. Texas and Michigan, primarily focused on adolescent and geriatric adult populations. BCA's facilities include freestanding psychiatric hospitals, residential treatment centers, psychiatric specialty hospitals within medical-surgical hospitals, and psychiatric outpatient clinics. With over 460 employees, and all of its facilities accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations, BCA provides exceptional behavioral healthcare to patients and support to patients' families.

Our growth plan encompasses:

Developing private freestanding psychiatric hospitals

Our psychiatric hospitals are designed to provide a therapeutic environment for the treatment of mental illness and addictive disorders. Our inpatient care is delivered by an outstanding multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists and other allied mental health professionals.

Developing residential treatment facilities for children and adolescents
Our residential treatment centers offer a distinct level of longer term care designed specifically for children and adolescents who need additional inpatient days for stabilization and further preparation for home and community integration.

Developing partial hospitalization, home health and other ambulatory care programs
BCA is an industry leader in providing outpatient based diagnostic and therapeutic services including traditional physician office based visits, as well as home care services. Many patients are treated successfully in our outpatient settings without the need for inpatient admission.

Developing specialty psychiatric hospital beds inside underutilized medical-surgical hospitals, critical access hospitals, nursing homes or other healthcare related facilities
Healthcare organizations with underutilized space and a community need for mental health services are contracting with BCA to come in and develop specialty psychiatric programs for targeted populations and targeted mental illnesses. BCA will lease space from the healthcare company, convert the beds to meet psychiatric license standards, recruit the psychiatrists and other professional staff and purchase certain medical and support services from the healthcare entity.

Acquisitions of behavioral healthcare facilities and programs
BCA seeks to also grow through acquisitions of psychiatric hospitals, residential treatment centers, group or solo practice psychiatry clinics, and other ambulatory and school based behavioral health programs.

Psychiatry Group Practice Ownership, Consulting and Management Services
BCA currently operates a growing number of full service outpatient clinics in partnership with psychiatrists. BCA owns and can joint venture or just manage psychiatry group practices. Our psychiatrist partners can maintain complete control of clinical operations while turning over the management and fiscal administrative functions to BCA.

Managing psychiatric units in medical-surgical hospitals
Medical-surgical hospitals can outsource the management of their psychiatric units to BCA. Because we own and operate our own free standing psychiatric hospitals, we have the management expertise, systems, financial and clinical resources and information technology data to manage these units successfully.
