Dr. Zyama Goldman, CMO     Edward A. Stack, CEO     Michael Davis, CFO     Buddy Turner, SVPO

 

Zyama Goldman, M.D., Chief Medical Officer

Dr. Goldman is a board certified psychiatrist who received his medical degree from the Institute of Pediatrics Medical School, USSR. His post-graduate training included a residency in psychiatry at Hadassah Hospital, Eitanim Mental Hospital and Ezrat Nashin Mental Hospital, Jerusalem, Israel; advanced studies in psycho geriatrics at the University of Nottingham Medical School, England; and a clinical and research fellowship at Baycrest Centre in Toronto, Canada. Dr. Goldman has served in numerous positions including Medical Director at Massillon Psychiatric Center and Chief of Psychiatric Service at Mount Sinai Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio. His teaching experience includes a current post as Clinical Assistant Professor at Northeastern Ohio College of Medicine and prior teaching roles at Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York and Tel Giborim Government Hospital in Tel Aviv, Israel. Dr. Goldman maintains an active psychiatry practice in the BCA owned Shaker Clinic, Shaker Heights, Ohio.

Edward A. Stack, President/Chief Executive Officer

Ed Stack has over 30 years of healthcare management experience. Prior to joining BCA he was founder of the private Behavioral Healthcare Corporation in 1993 and served as President and CEO from 1993 to 2001. During that time, BHC grew from 6 psychiatric hospitals to 48 hospitals with net revenue of over $350 million. Prior to forming BHC, Mr. Stack was with HCA from 1981 to 1993 where he held senior operating positions including President of the Western Psychiatric Group Operations. Mr. Stack's community involvement includes serving on numerous boards in the Nashville area including Catholic Charities of Tennessee and Father Ryan High School. He has also served on the Board of Trustees for the National Association of Psychiatric Health Systems and been involved with the Parents Council at Tulane University and the Business School Advisory Board at Belmont University. Mr. Stack has a B.S. in mechanical engineering and an M.B.A. from the University of Pittsburgh.

Michael Davis, Executive Vice-President/Chief Financial Officer

Michael Davis has over 20 years of healthcare management experience. Prior to joining BCA Mr. Davis was Vice-President with Community Health Systems from 2002 to 2005. During that time he had financial responsibility for 22 hospitals with net revenues in excess of $650 million. Mr. Davis was also Chief Financial Officer with Essent. Healthcare during its original start up and prior to that was a co-founder with Mr. Stack and Chief Financial Officer with Behavioral Healthcare Corporation from 1993 to 1999. He was with Hospital Corporation of America (HCA) from 1982 to 1993 where he served in various financial capacities both in the medical/surgical and psychiatric divisions. Mr. Davis currently serves on the Board of Directors for Park Center, an organization that assists adults with serious mental illness in Davidson and surrounding counties through housing, employment and socialization. Mr. Davis is also on the Advisory Board of the Middle Tennessee Mental Health Association. Mr. Davis holds a B.S. in finance from the University of Florida and a M.B.A. from Webster University. He also is an Advanced Member in the Healthcare Financial Management Association.

Buddy Turner, Senior Vice President of Operations     

 Buddy Turner has over 15 years of healthcare management experience in both the non-profit and the proprietary sector combined. Prior to joining Behavioral Centers of America, he served as a Divisional Vice President with Universal Health Services (UHS). During his tenure at UHS, Mr. Turner was responsible for the operational oversight of a division of Residential Treatment Facilities located throughout the states of Virginia, Florida, Alabama and Tennessee. Prior to UHS, Mr. Turner was a Regional Vice President of Operations with Keystone Education and Youth Services where he was responsible for operations to include both residential and acute product lines as well as non-public educational programs. Prior to Keystone, Mr. Turner served as a Regional Vice President with Children's Comprehensive Services and fulfilled several leadership roles to include that of Chief Executive Officer of an Acute Care Psychiatric Hospital.


Mr. Turner is an active supporter of youth sports and has coached multiple teams through both the YMCA of Middle Tennessee as well as the Nashville Diocesan Athletic Council via St. Edward School. In addition, he continues to serve on the Board for the Rahm Foundation, a local charitable foundation that provides support services to victims of domestic violence and their families through fund-raising and resource coordination. Mr. Turner has a BA through Western Kentucky University and a MSSW through the Kent School of Social Work with the University of Louisville.
